Have you ever noticed that many things in life start and end the same way? Like we end up where we start, everything is cyclical? If you recall back to the beginning of this expedition Delta had a small problem with punctuality in their first flight. It should come as no surprise, then, that our first flight today was late departing from Madrid. This made for some excitement in New York’s JFK airport. Our second flight, the one heading to Salt Lake, was also delayed. Will we end up being late arriving at home when all is said and done?
We’ll see. I have had luck in the past where the airline was able to put on an extra rocket booster or something and make up time in flight so hopefully the end of our total travel time will be punctual as well as safe. Regardless, if we can get home safely that will be pretty amazing on its own. Life surely would be hard if, during the course of our travels around half of the planet in a single day, we were a few minutes late getting home.
Upon return we’ll be in class this coming weekend with papers and presentations due, so this week is not likely to be one of peace and tranquility (sorry families/friends) but in a few more weeks that time should finally come to some extent. Regardless of when that comes, or where our paths lead over the coming months and years, it has been a pleasure to be with you through the smiles and stresses that have surrounded our lives for the past couple of years.
